Mercado de Maravillas

Madrid

The Mercado de Maravillas is a food market located on Calle de Bravo Murillo in Madrid. In 1942 the market designed by the architect Pedro Muguruza Otaño was inaugurated.

It is a building built on two floors. The ground floor is dedicated to the collection and interior service of the market, while the second is dedicated to the commercial area. It is a rationalist style building.

The large constructed area of the building of approximately 20,000 m² stands out, of which almost half, 8,800 m2, are dedicated to commercial use and on one floor.
