The Colegio Palacio de Granda was founded in 1975 by a family that gradually extended it to cover all educational stages in the mid-1980s. In 1998 the Student Residence was built to accommodate students from both the local area and other areas Autonomous communities or countries. During the course 2007/08 Palacio de Granda joined the Laude chain, with schools in Spain and the United Kingdom. In 2014 Laude Colleges became part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP).
