Casa Ametller
Passeig de Gracia 41, Barcelona
Year: 2014
The modernist interior of the Casa Amatller in Barcelona has returned to the origins of its modernist conception of 1900 as designed by the architect Josep Puig i Cadalfalch after the restoration of furniture, columns, floor, ceilings and original decoration of the main floor, Where the industrialist Antoni Amatller lived at the beginning of the 20th century.
The intervention lasted more than five years and its main objective has been the recovery of the environment of the home as the chocolatier kept it at the beginning of the century. For this reason, special care has been taken in restoring the ceiling lights and house lights, trying to adjust the intensity and quality of their lighting to values similar to those of the original electricity and gas installations.
