Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos is a Benedictine abbey located in the eastern part of a small valley, which the first document of the Silos Archive, dated 954, already calls it “Tapadillo Valley” belonging to the municipality of Santo Domingo de Silos.
The cloister of Silos is of double plant, being the inferior one the oldest one and the one of greater merit. It forms a quadrilateral of slightly unequal sides, of which the minor measures 30 m and the greater 33.12 m. The north and south sides consist of 16 arches, while the east and west sides are only 14.
